Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's day to all! Porter and Mommy got to spend some one-on-one fun time together while daddy was at work on Sunday! As a Mother's day gift, porter showed off his skills and rolled from his tummy to his back for the first time...he sure is making it easy to keep track of the milestones that he is making by always doing it on a holiday or memorable day!
Above is one of my favorite Porter outfits right now. With the button up white shirt it makes him look like Joseph Smith's brother or something from the early days of the church! Porter is turning out to be quite a boy...bruises and all! The other day he was sitting and thought it would be fun to try to conk his head on the wall...and guess what...it worked! I don't think he will be doing that again soon!
On Mother's Day he also found a cute blond girl his age to play wiht. Of course, it was the worng time to flirt with such a loud voice as it was during the middle of Relief Society! It was a shame to try to make them quiet when they were playing so cute!
Speaking of Mothers....we are waiting any day now for the news of baby Castilllo coming to play! Lizzy said that the baby was coming on Friday. We all hope that she is right...maybe the aunties and uncles more so than Marcie (she is so patient)!

The Last Dance

Now Kelsey took a picture with her favorite sister and her mother. Kelsey has improved so much in her dancing technique, she was so incredible on Friday night. We love you miss forever dancing Kelsey.

Mom was also very excited for her. She even bought Kelsey some pretty roses to top off the experience. She also bought the dance dvd so for all you ditchers that missed out you can still catch Kelsey's last moments on the Mesa High stage (Besides her choir concert on Tuesday 5/12 at 7:30 which will be her last).

Here are Taylor and Laurie sharing their support of Kelsey the dancer.
We are all so proud of her!

Kelsey had her very last Euporea dance concert at Mesa High. Here she is after she did a great job of dancing the night away. Some might say that she has dancing fever!! She was in three great dances, one of which was the seniors goodbye dance. It was so weird to see the baby of the family in her graduation outfit. I guess everyone grows up sometime....

Safford Outing!

I could not end a blog entry without adding at least one picture of my favorite niece. This is a picture of Elizabeth awake and perky early in the morning after everyone else had a rough night.

Here is a picture of Team Taylor working it at the egg toss. They should have won!! Instead my husband ended up with egg yoke in his hair. Gross.

I know Kelsey and Dardy hate having their picture taken, so I just had to post a picture of them on the family blog. I think this was after their second nap on Sunday (this second nap was after they had slept in until 11).

Check out this awesome picture taken by moi aka Lindsey! I personally like the three generation effect going on, it could have been four if Nicole would have been part of the party! I love how Porter is starring at Grandpa, so cute!

Porter took up his dream of playing for Aerosmith this weekend while hanging out at great grandpa's birthday party. I just wanted to share this pic cause Porter is too cute!

Ultimate Camping

Thanks to everyone who came to the camp out! It was a success! Porter and Lizzy had a great time (for the most part). We definitely learned some great camping tips this time around. For example, keep a lit candle in the outhouse at light. This is excellent for keeping it light enough to take care of business with out juggling the flashlight in your mouth, but also keeping it dark enough not to see everyones' business (if you know what I mean)!

We had so much fun camping last weekend. That is, apart from the horrible amount of smoke which left no side of the campfire a sacred place to sit and the cold! I must say Porter did not enjoy the first night as he slept in a blue pillow case shown above with nubs instead of legs...he prefers to be more free. The second night he did remarkably well. He was far more acclimated to the environment and it was a bit warmer the second night.

While Mom took a nap....Lindsey and Taylor...the "Randalls" if you will...turned our baby into a hoodlum....They taught him a rap which he of course loved but, I feared putting it on the website for fear of gang related assaults. Above is Porter hanging out with his homies. I must second Lindsey's remarks on the food. For some reason, food always tastes better camping. Though I think for now on Taylor would recommend we entirely wipe the Crisco out of the dutch oven prior to cooking in it! Even so, fantastic, fantastic! We will have to plan another trip soon! It was so fun having a big tent to share. Thanks Aaron! When Danny gets his tent we will all have to test it out!

Camping Trip

The camping trip was so much fun, except for the freezing part. Thank you Nicole and Daniel, Marcie and Keith for all being part of the party and making excellent dinners! Here is the recipe for my awesome pancake mix.....

Makes 16-20 pancakes
8 c. unbleached all purpose flour
6 T. plus 2 t. baking powder
3/4 c sugar
2 T plus 2 t salt
Combine all the dry ingredients and store for whenever you are ready for awesome pancakes.

To make the pancakes: Place 2 1/2 c. pancake mix in a bowl. Mix with 2 eggs, 1 3/4 cup milk, and 4 T. unsalted butter (or oil). Then cook to your hearts desire.

Nicole hurry up and get some photos up!! Especially Porter's rap!

Porter Kue's First Easter

Sunday was Porters first Easter! I had to work so it was also Dad's first day to take Porter to church all by himself. They of course were more than fine without me there! We also had a Hansen Easter Party and above you can see Porter on the hunt with some help from Dad! I dont think Porter won the hunt...he was too busy "primping" for his photo shoot as Dad would say! Sadly we missed the Beames Easter dinner and Marcie and Keith's birthday Fiesta!
