Valentines Day Treat!

So I decided to be nice today and make the family a nice Valentines Day treat (using all of moms ingredients). I figured rice krisy treats with red and pink sprinkles would do the trick, so I set to work. Unfortunately, something went horribly awry with the marshmallows, even though I sat next to the pan and stirred them the entire time. Well I still wanted the treats so I mixed the cereal with the clump of marshmallows and this was the great result. And yes, I bet you have never seen rice krispy treats with layers. Please notice the cute pink sprinkles. Happy Valentines Day!

Kelsey's Birthday!

It was our dear Kelsey's birthday yesterday and what a time...good food and good family...and my oh my...did anyone else notice that Kelsey looks pretty good for her age?

Pathetic

Do I rightly presume that I am pathetic? Jody Kohen and I have had a relationship for several years now...today my VCR broke. I thought what the heck, lets see if I can do it without her. And yes, I was right. You might not guess it by my workout stamina at this very moment in my life...but I do have the entire 30 minute step aerobics workout committed to memory. I did feel a bit pathetic doing the workout in complete silence however (she has those jazzy loser songs appropriate for workouts playing in the background on her tape). Anyway, A plus to me for working out today.
I might have included a photo...but you really don't want to see how nasty I look after only a 30 minute workout.

Big Day

You may now officially congratulate Porter...he is going on his first dove hunting trip with Daddy today. Daniel said he might even let Porter take a picture to document the substation occasion! Pictures will follow!

A look at Hansen Life

Porter is our little daily rascal. He truly is a boy. He loves all his Happy First Birthday Presents! Though, he still does continue to love disgusting items such as the toilet plunger. Daniel and Porter always have a great time with manly bonding when I am at work! Here is one such picture!
Porter, bless him, can be a bit of a mama's boy at times. Here is one occasion in which Porter was needing a little attention so I crouched down to let him give me a hug. I wasn't prepared for him to lunge for me and I promptly proceeded to fall on my kester. Oh how we love Baby Porter!
Porter really isn't crawling anymore. He is a regular walking machine! It is still fun to put the "little legs" Marcie and I made when the house feels cool. That way he can still wear his camo shorts and keep warm! This pic was right before we went on a family hike. Guess we all need to get into better shape. We made it part way and needed to take a breather before reaching the top of the "mountain" by CAC. I call it a Mountain to make myself feel better...but I fear the true classification would be a nice sized hill. We had a good time though!

Some days in Arizona even though its 187 degrees out side you still need something warmer than just a blanket!
